Futures on Germany's DAX , France's CAC 40 and Britain's FTSE 100 are up between 0.1%-0.7%. European benchmark natural gas prices slid 15% on Monday, dropping below 100 euros for the first time since June amid a solid inventory position and softer demand due to mild weather. On the earnings front, HSBC and UBS reported double-digit profit declines but both beat market expectations, SAP earnings fell short of forecast, while Novartis said the strong dollar was a drag on sales generated outside the United States. On the corporate side, earnings season is well and truly upon us, with reports from UBS, SAP and Novartis likely to paint a better picture of how companies are faring.
